South African Artists Unite on New 18-Track Album ‘Music Culture Forever’
JOHANNESBURG – A diverse collective of South African artists, producers and songwriters has released an 18-track collaborative album titled Music Culture Forever, marking an ambitious new chapter for Scorpion Records SA.
Released on Friday, 24 July 2026, the album celebrates South African music, creative collaboration and the power of storytelling to connect people from different backgrounds.
The project is led by artist and Scorpion Records SA label manager Tumelo Ruele, with August Muzika overseeing its production direction.
South African talent brought together
Music Culture Forever features contributions from Wade Yarrow, Tumelo Ruele, Major Habe, August Muzika, Yung Slycer, Kamoh Xaba, Kamza Heavypoint, Yamke, Natasha MD, Mazet, ilovelethu, Msongi, Ntando Yamahlubi, Desire ZA and Bello M.
By bringing together performers with different sounds, influences and creative identities, the album seeks to capture the diversity and constantly evolving character of South African music.
Its 18 tracks explore relatable subjects such as hope, perseverance, love, ambition, faith, friendship and personal development. Each participating artist contributes an individual perspective while remaining part of a wider, unified musical story.
The musicians behind the project believe music has the ability to cross cultural and social boundaries, giving people a shared space in which to recognise their experiences, struggles and aspirations.
Four singles introduced the album
Ahead of the full release, Scorpion Records SA introduced listeners to the project through four singles: Skeem Sam, Mojo, Haye and Sebenza.
The singles offered audiences an early taste of the album’s sound, energy and central message. They also helped establish the collaborative spirit that runs through the complete 18-track collection.
