TechCon 2026 Set to Drive Africa’s Digital Future with Focus on Real-World Implementation
Africa’s technology landscape is set for a major boost as TechCon 2026, a leading multi-platform technology conference, prepares to bring together some of the continent’s most influential voices in innovation, policy, and business.
Scheduled to take place at Century City, Cape Town, from 30 March to 03 April 2026, the high-level gathering will convene technology leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and private sector stakeholders to explore how digital solutions are transforming governance, economies, and societies across Africa.
Under the theme “From Policy to Implementation,” TechCon 2026 aims to shift the conversation from theoretical frameworks to practical, scalable solutions. The conference will focus on how visionary policies can be translated into impactful, real-world applications that drive inclusive growth and sustainable development.
The five-day event will feature keynote speeches, expert panel discussions, policy roundtables, and innovation showcases. Key sectors under the spotlight include government, finance, education, and business, highlighting the growing importance of digital transformation across all areas of society.
Participants from across the continent, including South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Zambia, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, are expected to attend, reinforcing TechCon’s position as a vital hub for continental collaboration and cross-border partnerships.
Adding to the conference’s momentum, ChainUp has come on board as a Platinum Sponsor, while Binance joins as an official partner. These partnerships underline the critical role of private sector collaboration in accelerating innovation and building scalable digital ecosystems across Africa.
While primarily designed for industry professionals, TechCon 2026 will also open its doors to the public for one exclusive day on 01 April 2026. This special access day will allow students, tech enthusiasts, and aspiring innovators to engage with industry leaders, explore emerging technologies, and gain valuable insights into Africa’s evolving digital landscape.
Co-Founder Bheki Mlambo described the event as a turning point for the continent’s tech ecosystem.
“TechCon 2026 marks a critical moment where conversations move beyond policy discussions into real implementation. Our goal is to bring together leaders, innovators, and decision-makers who are ready to translate ideas into tangible solutions that drive inclusive growth, technological advancement, and sustainable development. At TechCon, we are not just shaping dialogue—we are building pathways for action.”
Echoing this sentiment, Yaliwe Mlambo, Chairperson of the United Africa Blockchain Association, highlighted the importance of emerging technologies such as blockchain in unlocking digital opportunities, driving policy innovation, and empowering young people to lead Africa’s digital transformation.
With its strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and execution, TechCon 2026 is positioned to be more than just a conference, it is a catalyst for change, bridging the gap between policy and practice while shaping the future of technology across the continent.
