Women Empowerment Takes Center Stage as Mrs South Africa 2025 Entries Open

The search for the next Mrs South Africa is officially underway, offering married women across the country an opportunity to redefine their lives and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Described as a “leadership and women’s empowerment programme” rather than a traditional pageant, the competition has become a transformative platform for participants.

Erin-Jane Miller, the reigning Mrs South Africa, calls the experience life-changing, likening it to an “MBA in life.” The programme equips women with skills in leadership, financial management, personal branding, and effective communication, aiming to empower contestants to become community leaders and entrepreneurs.

CEO Joani Jacobs expressed optimism for 2025, noting the record-breaking success of the 2024 season, which saw contestants collectively raise over R400,000 for charity. Jacobs highlighted the competition’s focus on fostering a supportive sisterhood, where participants inspire and uplift one another.

Applications close on Monday, 27 January 2025, at 17:00, with a live open casting event on Friday, 31 January 2025, in Gauteng. Contestants will be judged on confidence, ambition, and potential, with independent auditors PKF Octagon ensuring fairness.

New this year, entrants must submit a video showcasing their motivations. Women aged 25-55, legally married, and from all backgrounds are welcome to apply. There are no restrictions on physical attributes, education, or prior pageantry experience.

Aspiring contestants can apply online at mrssouthafrica.co.za.

Mrs South Africa is supported by sponsors including iME, Chery Krugersdorp, Skin Renewal, and more, making the initiative a beacon of empowerment and transformation for women across South Africa.
